Dedicated School Space...
"At Julia Richman Education Complex, everyone knows where he or she is supposed to be."
--Rebecca Lemon, chief security officer
Space in the Complex is configured so that each school has its own defined space: its own classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and stairways.
School boundaries are defined so that no one needs to walk through another school's space in order to get to his or her school or to a common facility. Attention to such detail has important security implications, since staff in each school know their students and are alert to strangers.
"The building is designed so it's easy to trust kids."
